WordPress SEO metadata bulk-editing just got even better!
Our biggest update so far v6.0.0 is now out and is packed with new features we think really tad useful.
1. Export to Google Sheet
This update introduces a much better way to modify the exported CSV file in bulk. A CSV file modified inside Microsoft’s Excel sometimes spits unrecognisable, weird characters as a result of Excel’s character encoding issue. It is highly recommended to open the exported CSV file using Google Sheet and do all the modification right there.
2. Save time. Only update those posts that need attention
Now, you can selectively export posts, pages and virtually any post types that still use default, auto-generated SEO meta data information.
This feature comes in handy so you don’t have to bulk update every single post that may have been updated through your previous CSV import.
3. New powerful hook and filter to let you do more
- NEW Filter:
smart_seo_export_fields
– lets you export additional data to CSV so you can bulk-update other custom fields (usage example) - NEW Hook:
smart_seo_import_update
– lets you perform additional operation during import/bulk update (usage example)
Important: Once you’ve updated your copy of this plugin thru Dashboard > Plugins, be sure to purge your browser’s cache.
Feel free to suggest a feature and let us know how we can make this tool even better!
